I’m Francesca Cantale.
I work across web design and development. My projects are mainly custom websites, e-commerce sites and platforms, from shaping the experience through to frontend development.

My story
How I got here
I was born in Puglia and moved to Tuscany in 2010. For years, I ran a pub and pizzeria with my partner. That experience taught me to listen to people and take care of every part of the work.
In 2020, I sold the business and returned to studying web design and frontend development. Further learning and hands-on experience led to Thallion Dev, my independent professional practice.

My approach
What custom means to me
It means starting with specific needs, without a ready-made template, and shaping the structure, interface and user journeys around the people who will use the site.
Technology
The tools follow the project
Next.js is my primary stack. I choose CMS platforms and tools around functionality and future maintenance, without tying my work to one platform. I use WordPress when it fits, including headless setups, but it is not the focus of my work.
Collaboration
Working directly, with collaborators when needed
Thallion Dev is my independent practice, not an agency. I lead the work directly and bring in independent professionals when a project needs complementary skills.

I am also part of Mitha Creative, a collective of independent freelancers separate from Thallion Dev. I work alongside professionals specialising in UX/UI, graphic design, copywriting and advertising.

Things I keep close
Photography
I love photography and reportage; noticing the details helps me understand the stories behind them.
Music
I listen to blues, rock, reggae, trip hop and electronic music. My tastes shift over time, but music is always there.
Books and time outdoors
I read poetry, fiction and design books; walks and yoga help me step away and recharge.
